HEALING PROPERTIES:
Hematite is comprised of iron oxide and contains a slight magnetic charge. The magnetic qualities of Hematite helps to balance the meridians within the body and stabilizes the ethereal nervous system of our bodies with our physical nervous system. This in turn helps us to feel more grounded and safe. As a powerful protective stone, it helps to dissolve negativity while also absorbing it from our environment as well preventing toxic energies from entering our auric field. We personally grid our rooms with Hematite (leaving Hematite crystals in corners and along windowsills) to create a protective shield around our living spaces. It is also helpful to carry Hematite during chaotic situations or when working in highly stressful environments. It is also used to protect against geopathic stress (disturbed energy within the Earth) and EMF (electromagnetic) smog. As a personal stone, Hematite helps us to release self-imposed limitations, bring forth confidence, boost self-esteem, and make way for clarity of the mind. When our Root chakras (the center of survival, security and foundation) are imbalanced or blocked, we may find ourselves lacking self-control, aggressive, hyper-critical of ourselves and others, fearful, and excessively exhausted. We encourage everyone to cleanse their crystals before programming them with their intentions. Although crystals have a fixed molecular structure, they will often absorb the energies around them. It is especially important to cleanse your crystals after purchasing them from stores as you never know who may have touched them or what passing energies they have been in the company of. —————————————————————————
HOW DO I CLEANSE MY CRYSTALS?
There are a number of ways to cleanse your crystals! Using your own intention to cleanse them can be very effective! However, it is important to note that you must be in a good state of mind as whatever mind chatter may inadvertently program the crystal. You can also cleanse them with the energies of the moon or sun, bury them in the Earth, wash them in running water, smudge with sage or Palo santo, or bathe them in salt water. Methods to do so are plentiful and your intuition would serve you well in figuring out what is best for the crystal! However, it is important to also mention that not all crystals can be placed in water as they will disintegrate. Leaving some crystals in the sun for too long may even fade the color. Doing further research on how to care for your specific crystal will help greatly!
